Like many people, you may think of Snowden as a hero because of the focus his leaking of NSA documents has put on the massive spying on American citizens by their own government that has been in place for some time now. This is a reasonable assumption but one is which I invite you to question. When I see the push in social media to “support” Snowden for all that he has sacrificed to bring us all the truth, it makes me a little uneasy. Why? The vast majority of whistleblowers suffer in obscurity and/or are eliminated in some way by the obfuscators of the truth, the Lords of Perception and the Psychopaths in Charge. The only reason we know that the NSA is spying on us is because they want us to know. They want us to be afraid. Fear is the main weapon of control that keeps the control grid firmly in place.
I do not doubt Snowden’s passion or sincerity but I do know that we would have never heard his name if the information he shared was truly forbidden information.
Look at the core of Snowden’s message on Christmas, a holiday centered on the family and children.
“A child born today will grow up with no conception of privacy at all,” Snowden said. “They’ll never know what it means to have a private moment to themselves — an unrecorded, unanalysed thought. And that’s a problem, because privacy matters. Privacy is what allows us to determine who we are and who we want to be.”
Although this is a reasonable response to the information in front of us, if you want your child to have private moments to themselves, turn off the TV and computer. Boom! Problem solved.
Ironically this is the kind of fear that has, time and time again, allowed many Americans to willingly give up their freedoms. The freedoms we have given up so far because of the fear of terrorism is absolutely immense and now we are to fear our loss of privacy. What freedom will we now be asked to give up because of our fear of loss of privacy?
Do you think that the Lords of Perception and the Psychopaths in Charge want us to constantly share information and analysis of the versions of reality that have been created and sanctioned for our consumption?
