Religious Freedom – The Battering Ram of Empire

As I wrote back in November of 2013, the Lords of Perception with the assistance of the US government, have fooled Americans into believing that religious freedom somehow extends beyond a personal freedom into the realm of enforcing one’s so-called morality upon others, provided one is a Christian business owner. https://kyoung4.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/religious-freedom-and-the-medias-big-lie/

The recent Hobby Lobby decision has made this massive untruth official. No longer is religious freedom simply about being able to practice one’s religion but in the case of Christian business owners that freedom extends into limiting their female employees’ access to birth control.

So slippery is this ridiculous slope and so eager were the male Justices to impose their version of morality onto American females that this decision will continue to devolve into utter chaos and confusion. Jehovah’s Witnesses can now claim that it is against their religious freedom to offer health insurance at all as a benefit to employment because they do not believe in any kind of medical intervention. Any religious groups’ business owners, not just government sanctioned Christians, can now claim that their religious freedom extends beyond a personal freedom and into the realm of imposing one’s version of morality onto one’s employees. Muslim business owners can claim it is their religious freedom to force their female employees to wear burkas and not drive cars.

The claims will keep coming but the court will only side with the Christian business owners and they will do mental summer saults and flips to do so. This engineered change of the very meaning of religious freedom has been engineered for the express purpose of using the concept of religious freedom as a battering ram of empire and the empire is a Christian one.

I agree with your conclusion, as long as its’s clear that the word “Christian” alludes to a specific, very UN-Christlike group of Fascists who have infiltrated our government. I also agree that this has been the policy for centuries. Jesus himself would weep at all this hatred and bigotry. Even Gandhi pointed out the fact that Jesus wouldn’t be too happy the way Christians act in his name.

Yes the meaning of what it means to be Christian has changed as well and a long time ago. It is certainly not the form of Christianity my mother taught me.

Gotta say I like what Nancy said above about Ghandi’s comment. I happen to believe that Christ came and died for the whole pathetic lot of us. Jesus gave a very specific response to a question where a jew asked Him, “What is the greatest commandment?”. Jesus very specifically said to “love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, all mind all your soul and all your strength, and do another which is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself. Do these 2 things and you will fulfill all the law and the prophets.” Jesus said the manifestation of your belief in Him was to treat others as you would like to be treated. The “Golden Rule”. The reason this world has gone to hell on the express is because we, in general, don’t give a shit about our neighbor anymore, and those of us that do are deemed extreme and radical. Shoving the cross up someone’s ass isn’t love. I am not sure what birth control has to do with love, but it does seem a bit of a “battering ram” to use Christ as your pathetic excuse for this decision. Great Blog!

  3. Usually I do not learn article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very pressured me to try and do it!
Your writing style has been surprised me. Thanks, quite nice
    article.

Actually, you’re thinking of Christian Scientists. Jehovah’s Witnesses eschew blood transfusions but otherwise seek medical attention.
